Elizabeth Acton, Ford's New Treasurer, Brings Wealth of Experience to VP PostDEARBORN, Mich., Sept. 15 Elizabeth Acton, who has been named vice president - Treasurer at Ford Motor Company , will bring a wealth of experience to the job on Oct. 1. "Beth is highly regarded in financial circles, both inside and outside of Ford," said Jac Nasser, president and chief executive officer. "Her leadership skills in this vital arena will further our quest to make Ford the world's leading consumer company for automotive products and services." Ms. Acton, who will report to Henry Wallace, group vice president and chief financial officer, has been serving as executive vice president, Finance, and chief financial officer at Ford Motor Credit Company since 1998. A 1973 graduate of the University of Minnesota, where she majored in psychology, Ms. Acton earned an MBA in finance in 1976 at Indiana University. She joined Ford in 1983 as a financial analyst in the Treasury department after having worked as a vice president and relationship manager in the multinational banking group of Continental Bank. Her varied assignments at Ford involved international financing, portfolio and foreign exchange management, cash-flow forecasting, corporate finance and pension asset management. Prior to her Ford Credit post, Ms. Acton was assistant treasurer for Ford.
