FEATURE/IBT Technologies Offers Employees New Benefit: A High-Tech Plate From The Lone Star State
AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE FEATURES)--IBT-ZEN, IBT-VIP and IBT-ROX. Are these the latest acronyms in the vast realm of technology jargon? In fact, the answer is much simpler. As part of its marketing efforts, IBT Technologies offered its employees personalized company license plates.
The first three letters on the license plates were designated as IBT, and employees picked the last three characters. Some of the plates chosen are industry-specific like IBT-ASP, IBT-WEB, IBT-COM or IBT-WWW. Other creative choices include IBT-GAL, IBT-SPY and IBT-007.
"It's a great way to boost morale and instill a sense of increased ownership for IBT employees," says Cathy Wood, marketing communications director at IBT.
"The initial response to the campaign was overwhelming. I knew it would be well received, but the fact that it has generated so much excitement is a perfect example of the level of confidence and pride that exists among IBT employees."
"I did the math and couldn't believe the affordability," explains Deborah Kaufman, president and co-founder of IBT Technologies. "As a young company, we are especially concerned with getting the most mileage out of our advertising dollars. This license plate campaign is a win-win strategy for us. It's not only affordable, but it also makes our employees happy because they have a new outlet for expressing their creativity and pride in the company."
IBT Technologies, an e-learning infrastructure company, rolled out this new facet of its marketing campaign to increase their visibility locally, as well as statewide. As an added incentive, all fees to secure the plates were covered by IBT. Forty employees have secured IBT license plates so far.
