Dana Facility Earns Quality Recognition from Ford

    MUSKEGON, Mich., Sept. 14 Dana Corporation's
Muskegon Perfect Circle facility has been honored by Ford Motor Company
for achieving a zero parts-per-million defect rating for 1999
production shipments to Ford's Dearborn, Mich., Engine and Fuel Tank Plant.

    The Dana facility supplies piston rings to Ford's Dearborn plant for a
variety of the OEM's passenger-car and light-truck engines.
    "We are honored to receive this recognition from one of our top
customers," said Willie Williams, plant manager at the Muskegon facility.  "I
believe this honor is a result of our focus on the continuous improvement of
our quality and service."
    Dana, and other select suppliers who achieved zero defects for 12
consecutive months, will be recognized with signage at the plant.
    Dana's Engine Systems Group provides components, modules, and complete
systems solutions to engine builders worldwide.  The group's product lines
include Victor Reinz(R) gaskets and sealing products, Perfect Circle(R) piston
rings and engine parts, Glacier(R) Vandervell(R) engine bearings, and
powertrain components manufactured by Dana's Plumley Division.
