AimRite Engineers Travel to Midwest for Final Phase of General Motors and Oshkosh Testing
SAN DIEGO--Sept. 14, 2000--AimRite Holdings Corporation (OTC-BB:AIMH) has announced that its engineering staff of computer and hardware technicians will travel to Michigan and Wisconsin between September 15 and October 10, 2000, to assist in the final ride metric testing COAST technology at General Motors (GM) and road testing of the COAST system on Oshkosh Truck Corporation's (Oshkosh) severe duty firefighting truck.Coordinating the engineering team will be COAST's co-inventor, Jim Hamilton, AimRite's Director of Engineering. AimRite's Operations Director, Bob Dixon, will oversee logistical support for the installation and testing at both the GM Proving Grounds in Milford, Mich., and the Oshkosh test site in Wisconsin. On site for ride work for the testing will be computer-programming specialist Stewart Tennenbaum who has been involved in the final COAST computer development for the GM, Oshkosh and Pierce projects over the past year. COAST Co-inventor Lonnie Woods, AimRite Director of Sales Marketing, who is responsible for the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) applications of the COAST system with GM and Oshkosh, will be responsible for on site program co-ordination with GM and Oshkosh suspension executives. Assisting at both sites are assigned teams of General Motors and Oshkosh engineers.
Mary Kay Coleman, Acting President of AimRite observed, "The company and all its personnel are elated to be at this final stage of joint development evaluation with these companies that both have a reputation as leaders in the implementation of innovative automotive technology. We look forward to configuring COAST."
COAST (Computer Optimized Adaptive Suspension Technology) is a revolutionary suspension control system that uses Variable Constant Force(TM) to achieve unparalleled ride luxury, safety and performance for virtually all automotive, truck, bus and RV applications. COAST accomplishes all this by eliminating conventional shocks and anti-sway bars and replaces them with simple, but patented and powerful hydraulic suspension control units. The units incorporate extremely powerful and sophisticated patented software to make precision adjustments at each wheel 400 times per second. The result is an electronically controlled suspension system that can optimally control up to nine dynamic areas of suspension performance; including roll, pitch, body motions, wheel motions and bottoming/topping out. AimRite believes that COAST is the most powerful and flexible suspension control system ever developed. And with little or no direct competition, COAST will be sought after well into this century.
