BorgWarner Honors 33 Employees for Excellence and Innovation in Product Development, Operations, and Customer Relations
CHICAGO, Sept. 13 BorgWarner Inc. honored 29
employees with the 2000 BorgWarner Innovation Award for contributions and
creativity in the areas of product development, operations excellence and
customer excellence. Each of the company's operating groups selected
employees from various departments to receive the awards. In addition, four
individuals received the 2000 BorgWarner Special Awards -- either the Special
Marketing Award or the Innovation Pioneer Award -- for their contributions to
key cross-business projects. The honorees (listed below) represent BW
operations in the United States, Italy, and Germany.
"This year's recipients of the BorgWarner Innovation Awards and the
BorgWarner Special Awards embody the BorgWarner tradition of innovation and
leadership in solving problems and meeting the many challenges of our rapidly
changing industry," said John F. Fiedler, BorgWarner chairman and chief
executive officer. "These individuals have demonstrated exceptional
creativity and focused innovation in the important areas of product
development, operations excellence and customer excellence. These are the
