Modine Earns Top Supplier Award From Elkay Water Cooler Division
RACINE, Wis.--Sept. 13, 2000--Modine Manufacturing Company has been honored for outstanding performance by the Water Cooler Division of Elkay Manufacturing Company. Elkay uses Modine condensers to keep the water in its water coolers and drinking fountains at a cool, refreshing temperature. The condensers are made at Modine's plant in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, which is registered to QS-9000 and ISO 9000.Modine was one of 23 suppliers honored by Elkay for outstanding performance. Top suppliers must achieve 97.5 points on a 100-point rating system that covers quality, on-time delivery, packaging compliance, and customer service. Modine's score was 99.21 percent, putting the company at the "handshake" supplier level, which is the highest level in the Elkay supplier performance program. Modine is one of only six Elkay suppliers to reach the "handshake" level. This is the third year Modine has merited the award.
"It is absolutely appropriate that Elkay recognizes Modine as one of the best of our suppliers for its vital role in our success," said Dennis Scully, president of the CORDLEY/Temprite Division of Elkay. "Our growth is a direct result of the support of our supplier partners," he added, noting that, in the last 80 years, Elkay has reached sales of $500 million.
