SupplySolution, Inc. Takes i-Supply(TM) EDI System Real-Time, Adds Electronic Messaging
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Sept. 13 SupplySolution, Inc., a
company providing Internet-based collaborative supply chain services, today
announced significant enhancements to the company's flagship product,
i-Supply(TM), a Web-based direct material fulfillment service connecting
Tier-1 automotive buyers to Tier-2 sellers real-time. The upgrade adds
enhanced real-time EDI (electronic data interchange) messaging capabilities to
i-Supply(TM)'s existing direct material fulfillment service. The upgraded
application will be immediately available to more than 100 suppliers currently
subscribed to the i-Supply(TM) Service, as well as future customers.
This low-cost ASP (application service provider) model simplifies EDI
communication enabling users to easily enhance existing EDI services, as well
as take advantage of robust electronic messaging capabilities across the
Internet. Automotive suppliers using the i-Supply(TM) Service do not purchase
software, but rather access the application service via the Internet of the
ANX (Advanced Network Exchange(TM)) Service.
The enhanced EDI and electronic messaging services will be rolled into
i-Supply(TM) Service, which provides a streamlined method of Collaborative
Inventory Management. i-Supply(TM) provides real-time online collaboration
for fulfillment of direct materials, combined with traditional EDI and XML
messaging capabilities.
