Jaguar is National Sponsor of Saks Fifth Avenue Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Shopping WeekendNEW YORK, Sept. 12 Jaguar Cars is this year's national sponsor of the Saks Fifth Avenue Fashion Targets Breast Cancer shopping weekend. This nationwide event will benefit the Council of Fashion Designers of America's (CDFA) Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Fund. Jaguar dealers in 62 markets will support the Saks Fifth Avenue store in their area in a charity shopping weekend, Sept. 21-24, that will benefit local and national breast cancer charities. "We at Jaguar are proud to partner with Saks Fifth Avenue in this initiative to fight breast cancer," said Mike O'Driscoll, president of Jaguar North America. "This initiative allows not only the company an opportunity to participate, but also our dealers in 62 markets nationwide to join the battle against breast cancer in their local communities." Jaguar will participate in the kick-off party in the Saks Fifth Avenue's flagship store on New York's Fifth Avenue on Tuesday, Sept. 19. The grand prize of the sweepstakes fundraiser is a 2001 Jaguar S-TYPE V6 with Power/Memory Package, valued at $46,250. Eddie Irvine and Johnny Herbert, Jaguar Racing's drivers, will make a guest appearance with the Jaguar Cosworth R1 Formula One car on their way to the United States Grand Prix in Indianapolis, Ind. Jaguar will sponsor kick-off parties in the other 61 Saks Fifth Avenue stores simultaneously around the United States on Sept. 21. Two percent of all sales during the four-day shopping event will be donated to CDFA's Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Fund, and funds raised in each local market will be distributed to each local charity partner. This year's goal is to raise over $3 million.
