AAA Michigan's Road Service Operations Handling Unusually Heavy Volume of Calls

    DEARBORN, Mich., Sept. 12 AAA Michigan is receiving calls
for road-service assistance at more than twice the volume of an average day,
the Auto Club reports.
    As of 10:30 a.m. today, the club's Emergency Road Service operations had
responded to more than 1,500 calls, most of them from motorists with flooded
vehicles.
    On Monday, the call volume topped 4,000.  In an average day, the Auto Club
responds to about 2,000 calls for road service.
