    MUSKEGON, Mich., Sept. 11 The Muskegon, Mich., Perfect
Circle piston ring facility of Dana Corporation has been
recognized for achieving a flawless quality rating from DaimlerChrysler
Corporation .

    The facility received a 100-percent quality rating for the piston ring
components it supplied to DaimlerChrysler during the 1999 production year.
These Perfect Circle products are used on a variety of the OEM's passenger-car
and light-truck engines.
    "Perfect Circle has made quality a primary focus," said Willie Williams,
plant manager at Dana's Muskegon Perfect Circle facility.  "We are very
honored that DaimlerChrysler has recognized our commitment to meet their
world-class quality requirements."
    "We're very proud of our people in Muskegon," added Tom Neusiis, vice
president and general manager for Dana's Perfect Circle Division. "This
excellent rating is a result of their continued effort to exceed our
customers' expectations."
