AUBURN HILLS, Mich. and STUTTGART, Germany, Sept. 11 DaimlerChrysler today announced several executive appointments in an effort to

Darrell L. Davis is appointed to the newly created position of Senior Vice
President - Service and Parts reporting to Theodor R. Cunningham, Executive
Vice President - DCC Global Sales and Marketing. The appointment of Davis to
this position combines Service and Parts operations into a single group,
eliminating the position of Vice President - Mopar Parts, a position held by

Baker has announced his intention to retire at year end and will be on
special assignment assisting in the implementation of the new organization
until that time.
Davis was most recently Senior Vice President of DaimlerChrysler
Corporation (DCC) and President & CEO - DaimlerChrysler Financial Services,
N.A., LLC.
Juergen Walker, formerly Senior Vice President - Controlling Chrysler,
will replace Davis as President & CEO - DaimlerChrysler Financial Services,
N.A., LLC. Walker will become a member of the Board of DaimlerChrysler
Services (debis AG), subject to the approval of the Supervisory Board. He
reports to Klaus Mangold, Chairman of the Board of Management DaimlerChrysler
Services (debis). Southfield-based DaimlerChrysler Financial Services
provides consumer and dealer financing in the United States and Canada
primarily through its two principal brands, Chrysler Financial and Mercedes-
Benz Credit.
James D. Donlon replaces Walker as Senior Vice President - Controlling
Chrysler, and will report to Manfred Gentz, Member of the Board of Management
- Finance and Controlling. Donlon was most recently Senior Vice President -
Corporate Controlling and Accounting, based in Stuttgart, Germany.
Rainer Schmueckle replaces Donlon as Senior Vice President - Corporate
Controlling and Accounting, and will report to Manfred Gentz. Schmueckle is
Chief Financial Officer of Adtranz Group (DaimlerChrysler Rail Systems).
He will assume his new position after the transition of Adtranz to
Bombardier. Schmueckle has broad experience in different Finance functions
and has contributed very successfully to the turn-around of Adtranz.
