just-auto.com Expands Editorial StaffLONDON, Sept. 11 The premier provider of automotive business intelligence online is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan James Tutak as Associate Editor for Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. The new position reflects just-auto's plans to develop exclusive and original information services, by building a team of acknowledged experts in consulting and journalism around the world. Ryan will play a key role in further developing just-auto.com's Eastern European auto industry coverage. Eastern Europe and the ex-USSR comprise 27 countries of increasing importance to the globalisation of the auto business, and Ryan is unrivalled in his coverage of the region, which has been long neglected and poorly understood. With this appointment, just-auto.com believes it will become known quickly as the leading publisher of automotive analysis, data and news from this part of the world. "We are excited over the new possibilities that Ryan will bring to our site," said David Leggett, managing editor of just-auto.com. "I have worked with Ryan for several years, so I know he will fit nicely into our team." Based in Budapest since 1992, Ryan brings an array of knowledge and resources to just-auto.com, accumulated through extensive travel across the region, once known loosely as the communist bloc. Each year, he attends the major motor shows plus a variety of auto plants and suppliers in Eastern Europe. For just-auto.com, Ryan will regularly supply features and news plus data services and executive reports. He also is working on a book about the automotive evolution of Eastern Europe with annual data on production and sales of light vehicles 1990-1999. Fresh from the Moscow motor show in late August, Ryan already has provided just-auto.com with an excellent study on Russia (see http://www.just-auto.com/features_detail.asp?art=253). He also broke a big story about a major venture of General Motors in Russia that was re-reported widely by international media (see http://www.just-auto.com/features_detail.asp?art=267) . Over the next month, his coverage of Russia will continue with interviews of key executives plus a feature on local manufacturers with photos of their new models that debuted at the motor show. As an indication of Ryan's accomplishments, his work has been reported and used by companies, institutions and media in 30 countries -- including Arthur Andersen, Automotive Business International, CNN, Financial Times, Japan Automotive News, KPMG, Morgan Stanley, Nikkei, Reuters, Ward's, WirtschaftsBlatt and World Bank.
