Probex Executive to Speak At Leading Lubricants Conference

    DALLAS--Sept. 11, 2000--Probex Corp. (AMEX:PRB), an energy technology company, announced today that John E. Fahey, the company's vice president of industry sales and marketing, will speak at the "Lubricants: The New World Order" conference, being held from Sept. 13-15, 2000, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Houston, TX.
    During his presentation, Mr. Fahey will discuss the next generation of standards in the automotive lubricating industry, known as GF-3, which will be required for all new automobiles beginning January 2002. Mr. Fahey will analyze the implications of this new standard and explain Probex's vision to help lubricant marketers meet the pending environmental challenge of disposing of used lubricants. As part of his presentation, Mr. Fahey will describe the company's proprietary ProTerra(TM) process, a cost-effective solution for recovering base oil that will meet the performance requirements for GF-3. Mr. Fahey will speak the morning of Sept. 15.
    The conference, sponsored by Lubes'n'Greases Magazine and PetroTrends, Inc., will focus on gas-to-liquid technologies, distributor relationships, e-commerce, fuel cells and other rapidly emerging market issues in the lubricant industry.
