Ducati Motor Holding Appoints New CFO
    BOLOGNA, Italy, Sept. 7 Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A.
, a leading manufacturer of high performance
motorcycles, today announced the appointment of Enrico D'Onofrio as Chief
Financial Officer.  Mr. D'Onofrio, 43, replaces Carlo Di Biagio who became
Chief Executive Officer of the Company in July of this year.  His appointment
is effective as of September 19, 2000.
    Mr. D'Onofrio brings to Ducati broad, international experience in the
fields of finance, administration and budgeting gathered in a number of
important roles at Procter and Gamble, one of the world's leading global
consumer products companies.  Most recently, based in company headquarters in
Geneva, he was Director of the Western Europe Innovation Program, managing
P & G's venture capital fund.

    In a career at Procter and Gamble spanning 18 years, Mr. D'Onofrio has
also been Finance Manager, P & G Portugal; Brand Manager, P & G Italy and
Director of Finance and Accounting Organization in Renewal for Europe, P & G
Brussels.  Mr. D'Onofrio is a Mechanical Engineer and holds a Master's in
Business and Administration from SDA Bocconi in Milan.
