DynaMotive Technologies Added to Financial Times Renewable Energy Tracker and The Delphi Group's Canadian Climate Change Innovative Technologies Index
VANCOUVER, Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ - DynaMotive Technologies Corporation
(OTCBB: DYMTF) has been added to an investor tracker and index in the UK and
Canada that track the growth of environmental and renewable energy public
companies and compare their growth with that of established exchanges or
investment funds. The Renewable Energy Tracker appears monthly in the
Financial Times Renewable Energy Report. The Climate Change Innovative
Technologies Index is published in Environmental Business Canada by Ottawa-
based The Delphi Group.
"Increasingly, public companies focusing on renewable energy technologies
that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions are capturing the interest of both
private investors and fund managers," said DynaMotive's President & CEO Andrew
Kingston. "We are very pleased that DynaMotive is being included in these two
investor tracker and indexes as it indicates clearly that our Company is being
recognized in Europe and North America as a key player in the renewable, clean
energy sector.
"DynaMotive has made significant progress over the past year in
demonstrating that its patented BioOil technology produces a high quality fuel
from renewable biomass that is a feasible alternative to fossil fuels,"
Kingston said. "We are now scaling up our technology to commercial production
and are establishing operating subsidiaries in key markets to take advantage
of opportunities in Europe, North America, Brazil, Asia and other regions,
thereby maximizing value to our shareholders."
The FT Renewable Energy Tracker is an indicator of the overall industry
performance of dedicated companies, now including DynaMotive, in the
international renewable energy sector. The FT Renewable Energy Tracker is
compared to the Impax Capital Environmental Technology-50 Index (ICET-50) - a
performance tracking index dedicated solely to public quoted companies that
have core businesses in the development and operation of environmental
technologies.
Companies listed on the ICET-50 are the fifty largest by market
capitalization (between US $60 million to US $9 billion) of the 200 "pure-
play" environmental technology companies identified by Impax Capital
worldwide.
Commenting on the Tracker, Gordon Edge, Editor of the FT Renewable Energy
Report, said: "This is a very exciting time for the renewable energy industry.
A number of factors are coming together to ensure that large opportunities are
opening up for companies in the field, and investors are starting to realize
that 'pure-play' renewable companies such as DynaMotive have strong growth
potential. I am expecting to see increasing investor activity in this area,
and the Renewable Energy Tracker will be recording that activity."
The Delphi Group's Climate Change Innovative Technologies Index tracks 11
publicly traded companies in Canada, all engaged in developing solutions to
tackle the growing issue of climate change by reducing greenhouse gases that
are being pumped into the atmosphere. In addition to DynaMotive, companies on
the index include Ballard Power Systems (fuel cell development), Westport
Innovations (developers of a system to convert diesel engines to natural gas)
and Global Thermoelectric (electric generator and cell-development).
According to Delphi's CEO Chris Henderson, "Investors are starting to
recognize the tremendous future potential for growth of innovative companies
that are developing climate change solutions. In fact, the demand for these
technologies could explode as a number of market forces converge. Increased
concern about the impacts of air pollution on health, the evolution of the new
economy, international agreements on climate change and an increasing demand
for more sustainable energy sources are a few of the factors that could
continue to drive global markets for these technologies to new levels."

DynaMotive Technologies Corporation is a world leader in the development
of technology to produce BioOil clean fuels for power generation in gas
turbines, diesel engines and boilers. BioOil is produced using a technology
that converts low value forest and agricultural wastes into a liquid fuel.
Unlike fossil fuels, BioOil is clean burning, low in SOx and NOx emissions,
greenhouse gas neutral and can be produced economically from renewable biomass
waste materials.
DynaMotive produces BioOil at its two tonne per day pilot plant in
Vancouver BC and is currently constructing a 10 tonne per day BioOil
demonstration plant. The Company expects to scale up to full commercial BioOil
production over the next three years. It has been working closely with both
private sector partners including Orenda Aerospace and Solar Turbines and
government agencies including Industry Canada and NRCan in the development and
commercialization of its technology.
