traffic.com Names Jim D'Arcangelo Senior Vice President of Marketing
WAYNE, Pa.--Sept. 6, 2000--traffic.com, a leading provider of traffic and logistics information services, has named Jim D'Arcangelo its Senior Vice President of Marketing.
Mr. D'Arcangelo brings to traffic.com 14 years of marketing, advertising and sales experience, having spent the last decade in the interactive advertising and transactions arena. He will be responsible for the company's overall consumer, business and government new product strategy and management, as well as its marketing communications.
Previously, Mr. D'Arcangelo was Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Media Metrix, where his business initiatives led to significant increases in both client base and sales revenue. He introduced multiple product lines that strengthened the company's e-business position.
He also headed the firm's public relations and marketing communications prior to, during, and after the company's highly successful initial public offering.
Prior to joining Media Metrix, Mr. D'Arcangelo was President of the Telecommunications Group at NFO Worldwide. While there, he developed a series of ground-breaking products in the local Web and wireless markets.
Previously, Mr. D'Arcangelo was Executive Vice President and partner of The Kelsey Group, the market leader in local market-specific Web and wireless transactions and advertising research, publishing, and consulting.
He began his career as an Assistant Product Manager at Bell Atlantic, where he assumed increasingly senior sales and marketing management roles before joining Interactive Transactions and Advertising in the pioneer Video Services Division.

Mr. D'Arcangelo is a graduate of Princeton University. He earned his Masters of Science degree in Marketing and Sales from Johns Hopkins University and his Masters of Business Administration from George Washington University, where he also worked on his doctorate.
