Aura to Introduce New AuraGen Models; Features Higher Power and Engine-Off/Battery Operated Mode

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--Sept. 6, 2000--AURA SYSTEMS, INC. (OTC:AURA) announced today that it will introduce shortly two new AuraGen(R) models.
The Company will introduce a commercial 8,000-Watts continuous, pure sine wave, 60 Hz, 120/240 VAC power for simultaneous operation of any type of equipment, from the most sensitive digital computer to the most brute force compressor. This new model provides the same quality of electrical power whether the vehicle is stationary or mobile, in the same size package as the 5,000-Watt model.
The Company will also introduce a model featuring a unique simultaneous AC and DC system that combines the function of a generator, inverter and a 200-amp battery charger in one compact package similar in size to the 5,000-Watt model. The system provides simultaneously both 120 VAC as well as 14V or 28V DC power. It will automatically provide up to 8,000 Watts of AC power and up to 2,800 Watts of DC power (200 amps at 14 volts). The amount of AC or DC power provided is a function of load demand. This model operates when the engine is running or from the battery system with the engine off. The system provides an automatic alarm to indicate a low battery charge and provides for the charging of the battery at up to 200 amps when the engine is turned on. Furthermore, there is no need for manual switching to manage the AC and DC loads.
