Brase Named Controller for Hella Lighting DivisionPLYMOUTH, Mich., Sept. 6 Joe Brase has been named controller for the Lighting Division of Hella North America, Inc., according to Joe Borruso, president and chief executive officer, Hella North America. A former senior operating and management executive for start-up, turnaround and international operations, Brase brings 15 years experience in international manufacturing operations to his new position. He previously served as chief financial officer for Aromac Inc., St. Clair Shores, MI, an international equipment manufacturer. Prior to that he was a vice president of plastics manufacturing operations for Montaplast, Inc. Brase's senior management experience includes extensive work in the areas of corporate re-organization, strategic and financial planning and budgeting, as well as cost reduction initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and greenfield start-up programs. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in economics. He also attended a senior executive training program at the University of Virginia's Darden Business School. Brase lives in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. with his wife and three children, where he is an active member of the Franklin Methodist Church, a pilot, and a sailor at the Detroit Yacht Club.
