Explorer Insurance Co. Signs Contract With ProcessClaims.com

IRVINE, Calif.--Sept. 6, 2000--ProcessClaims.com (www.processclaims.com) Wednesday announced the signing of a contract with Explorer Insurance Co. providing Web-based claims processing tools to Explorer and their trading partners.
The ProcessClaims.com solution enables Explorer to electronically manage the material damage claims process with their staff appraisers, independent appraisers and collision repair facilities in an open architecture environment.
"We're thrilled about this partnership and the benefits that the ProcessClaims.com solution creates for our company," proclaimed Explorer Assistant Vice President of Claims Sheryl Hadlen. "We anticipate a reduction in administrative costs, an increase in efficiency and better utilization of our staff due to the implementation."
ProcessClaims.com has successfully transacted more than 1,000 material damage claim assignments between the insurance industry and their partners via the Internet in the $130 billion claims market.
Working with Explorer, as well as three other insurance companies currently in various piloting stages, ProcessClaims.com is the first to successfully translate estimates from all three database companies into a standard format.
In addition to translating collision estimating data, the technology allows digital images, claims-related documents and claim status information to be transmitted and managed through their Web portal.
ProcessClaims.com is the Internet-based bridge linking the insurance and collision repair industries and their trading partners. By harnessing the power of the World Wide Web and applying its unique data translation technology and industry expertise, the company provides the auto claims industry with the freedom to do business more efficiently and cost effectively.
