Diane Zekind from Hayes Lemmerz International Identified Among the Leading Women in the Auto Industry
    NORTHVILLE, Mich., Sept. 5 Hayes Lemmerz International,
Inc. , a leading global supplier to the automotive and commercial
highway industry, today announced that Diane Zekind, Director of Technical
Services, has been named to the list of the 100 Leading Women in the North
American Automotive Industry, by Automotive News.
    Ms. Zekind was appointed to the position of Director of Technical Services
in February 1999, when Hayes Lemmerz acquired CMI International.  In this
position, Ms. Zekind has the overall responsibility of Hayes Lemmerz'
Technical Center, a 34-acre facility, in Ferndale, Michigan.  With a staff of
140, Ms. Zekind is responsible for providing advanced engineering, design,
development, tool manufacturing and testing services to all of Hayes Lemmerz'
North American Operations.

engineer who continuously impresses her peers with her ability and with her

North American Components Group.
    Ms. Zekind holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering
and a Master of Science degree in Manufacturing Management from General Motors
Institute, in Flint, Michigan.
    Ms. Zekind will be featured in the September 11 issue of Automotive News
and honored at a special banquet on September 19, at the Ritz Carlton in
Dearborn, Michigan.
