Accuride and Gianetti to Form Strategic Alliance

    EVANSVILLE, Ind. & CERIANO LAGHETTO, Italy--Sept. 1, 2000--Accuride Corporation announced that it has agreed to form a strategic alliance with Gianetti Route S.p.A. (Gianetti) to provide worldwide sourcing of heavy wheels to the commercial trucking industry and to exchange wheel manufacturing technology.
    Accuride is North America's leading manufacturer and supplier of both steel and aluminum wheels to the commercial trucking industry, while Gianetti is Europe's fastest growing manufacturer of steel wheels for trucks, buses, and off-the-road vehicles.
    "The strategic alliance between our two world-class companies will allow both Accuride and Gianetti to compete seamlessly on a global basis," explained Bill Greubel, Accuride's President and CEO.     The formation of this alliance will create for Accuride a European base to better serve its core customers' increasing demands for a global supply source.
