Land Rover North America, Inc. Reports August Sales Of 2,306 Units - August is Best Month in 2000 for Range Rover Sales

    LANHAM, Md., Sept. 1 Land Rover North America, Inc. has
posted August sales of 2,306 units.  Land Rover has sold 17,456 vehicles year-
to-date.  Furthermore, Land Rover sold 542 Range Rovers in August -- the best
monthly sales result for that model in 2000.  Land Rover also sold 1,764 units
of its Discovery Series II model in August for a best-ever year-to-date total
of 13,827 units for that model.
