Johnson Controls Completes Acquisition of Ikeda Bussan Co., Ltd.

    MILWAUKEE, Wis., Sept. 1 Johnson Controls, Inc. , today announced that it has completed
its acquisition of a controlling interest in Ikeda Bussan Co. Ltd, a Japanese
supplier of automotive seating.  The closing occurred following the August 24
expiration of the friendly tender offer for Ikeda's shares which results in
Johnson Controls paying approximately $90 million for approximately 90% of the
outstanding shares.
