Karenann Terrell Joins DaimlerChrysler Corporation As Director - Business Connect
    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Sept. 1 DaimlerChrysler Corporation
announced today that Karenann Terrell has been appointed Director - Business
Connect, reporting to Gary E. Dilts, Senior Vice President - eConnect
Platform.  Terrell joins DaimlerChrysler from General Motors, where she most
recently served as Director - e-Vehicle.
    "It is a pleasure to have someone with Karenann's broad background and
expertise join the DaimlerChrysler team," said Dilts.  "She brings a wealth of
experience to our e-business efforts and will help further define and shape
the company's activities in this new economy."
    In this position, Terrell will direct and coordinate the e-business
activities being initiated on both the product and consumer side of the
company.  She will manage a cross-functional team from Finance, Legal, Mergers
& Acquisitions, Procurement & Supply, Information Technology Management and
Engineering.
    Terrell's previous assignments with General Motors included responsibility
for e-Vehicles, Future Luxury Products, Total Vehicle Integration Engineering
(Mid/Luxury Car Division), management of Technical Support and Advanced
Project Engineering assignments pertaining to Customer Engineering and Hybrid
Electric Vehicles.
    Terrell holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of
Michigan.  She earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue
University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the General
Motors Institute.
