Price, Federal-Mogul's vice president, customer service, distribution and logistics, have been named to the elite list of 100 leading women in the North American auto industry compiled by Automotive News, an automotive industry publication. The 100 women named by Automotive News were selected following a long process of nominations and judging. Several hundred nominations were received and the final list was honed to 100 executives by a selection committee of six experts. These women are leaders in their fields and key decision makers in their companies. Hurless has plant responsibility for the Sealing Systems manufacturing plant in Van Wert. Since joining Federal-Mogul in 1985, she has held the positions of marketing analyst, automotive sales representative, distribution manager, plant supervisor/scheduler, railroad and oil bath seal business unit manager and production control manager. Hurless earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Price has responsibility for Federal-Mogul's North American aftermarket logistics and distribution, and North American customer service operations. She joined Federal-Mogul in 1986 and has held positions in sales; distribution, customer service and investor relations management. Prior to her current position, she held the position of vice president, Investor Relations. Price earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Represented on the final list, which will be published in a special issue of Automotive News on September 11, are 57 women from automakers, 27 from suppliers, four from industry associations, three from online buying services, three from advertising and six from other industry companies. The winners will be recognized by Automotive News Publisher, Keith Crain on September 19 at an industry dinner at the Ritz-Carlton in Dearborn. A portion of the proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
