DaimlerChrysler Corporation Five Star Dealers Receive Rewards and Recognition
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Aug. 31 More than 95,000 employees at
Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge Five Star dealerships began receiving special
recognition awards September 1st. In an unprecedented move, DaimlerChrysler
Corporation is rewarding dealership personnel for their contribution in
achieving the coveted Five Star Certification.
More than 2000 Chrysler Group Five Star dealerships as a whole increased
their J.D. Power Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) by 31 points and their
Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) by seven points, as compared to last year's
performance. Overall, the Chrysler Group brand's customer service
satisfaction improved an average of 21 percent compared with the industry
average of nine percent, making Chrysler Group's dealers the most improved in
the automotive industry.
"The bottom line is that Five Star works and our numbers prove it. This
is a way to thank our dealer family for bringing us to the next level in
customer satisfaction," said John MacDonald, Senior Vice President, Sales and
Service.
The gifts have been shipped to dealerships in conjunction with an Employee
Involvement Meeting Kit to assist dealer principals in creating dealership
presentations.
"We want Five Star dealers to make the gift presentations an event for the
entire dealership," said Bob Williams, Director of Retail Strategies. "We
feel it's important that Five Star dealership employees be formally recognized
for their efforts, in the presence of their peers. The involvement of
dealership employees from every level of the sales and service process is
critical to the success of Five Star."
