California Software Is on the Move With Volvo
    IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 31 California Software Corporation
(OTC Bulletin Board: CAWC, CAWCE), a leader in IBM Midrange migration products
and developer of the award-winning BABY product line, today announced that it
has successfully negotiated a contract with the Volvo Group for a two stage
license deployment.
    "Volvo, the international transport equipment group with a worldwide
production and marketing organization, has taken delivery of 100+ BABY/AS
runtime licenses in a first stage deployment which represents 17 Volvo
facilities worldwide," stated Tom Hoyt, Vice President of Sales for California
Software Corporation.  "With an anticipated completion date of March, 2000,
Volvo is gearing up to purchase additional BABY/AS runtime licenses for the
balance of their facilities," continued Hoyt.
    "This contract underscores our core international business and affirms our
belief that IBM Midrange customers are seeking value-oriented alternatives to
super-premium, hard to use products," stated Carol Conway, President of
California Software Corporation.
