29 August 2000

American Millennium Corporation, Inc. Selected by General Motors for Baja 1000 Race Vehicle Tracking and Monitoring

GOLDEN, Colo.--Aug. 29, 2000--American Millennium Corporation, Inc. (OTCBB:AMCI) announced today that General Motors Corporation has purchased AMCI's satellite-based systems for tracking and messaging for GM's race vehicles running the Baja 1000 annual off-road race event this November along Mexico's Baja Peninsula.
AMCI VP of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer Bruce R. Bacon said, "For the Baja application, the Desert Proving Grounds (DPG) Group will utilize AMCI's technology to communicate directly with the race vehicle's drivers and track their location. The DPG support staff can view the vehicle's location on a map and engage in messaging with the vehicle occupants."
Andrew F. Cauthen, President and CEO of AMCI noted, "We are pleased to have been selected by GM for this application." Cauthen also commented, "While our business model includes the sale, leasing or licensing of hardware and software, the recurring revenue streams from software licensing and ongoing airtime monitoring are major areas in which the Company is focusing. The recently announced 1,000 VisTrac(tm) systems sold for truck fleet applications in Costa Rica and Panama include ongoing revenues to be derived by AMCI's monitoring services."
