Budco Teleservicing, Inc. Receives DaimlerChrysler Gold AwardCompany Selected From Thousands of Suppliers DETROIT, Aug. 28 On August 18, 2000 Budco Teleservicing, Inc. received the 1999 DaimlerChrysler Gold Award recognizing its outstanding performance as a supplier of DaimlerChrysler Corporation. The company was one of 17 service suppliers to receive this distinction. "In 1999, Budco Teleservicing outperformed thousands of other suppliers that DaimlerChrysler uses to support the organization," said Doug Brown, Senior Buyer, DaimlerChrysler Corporation. "That is why you are receiving this award today. You can be proud that the quality of your work shows and your customers' expectations have been met." To qualify for the award, Budco Teleservicing had to meet or exceed minimum criteria set by the Corporation's supplier rating system in quality, technology, delivery, price and overall performance. In addition, the company was evaluated on its participation in DaimlerChrysler's Supplier Cost Reduction Effort (SCORE) program. SCORE requires of all suppliers that they proactively identify areas of continuous improvement and ways to eliminate waste and lower costs in the programs they execute. Another point of consideration was the amount of business that is sourced to minority owned firms. Budco Teleservicing supports a number of programs for various departments within DaimlerChrysler. These include its Service Contract Direct Marketing efforts, Jeep(R) division's Camp Jeep(TM) and Provisions merchandise program and the Mopar division Employee Parts Purchase program.
