Gentex Ships Automatic-Dimming Mirrors for Ford F-Series

    ZEELAND, Mich., Aug. 28 Gentex Corporation ,
the Zeeland, Michigan-based manufacturer of automatic-dimming rearview mirrors
and commercial fire protection products, has begun shipping interior
automatic-dimming mirrors for the Ford F-Series Pickup.
    Gentex's Night Vision Safety(TM) (NVS(R)) Mirrors automatically darken to
reduce glare from the headlamps of vehicles approaching from the rear.  The
brighter the glare, the darker the mirrors become, making nighttime driving
safer.
    Gentex automatic-dimming rearview mirrors will be available through the
Lariat, King Ranch and Harley Davidson options packages.
    "This is great news, because now our mirrors are in several of the most
popular F-Series options packages, which gives us a significant boost in unit
volume," said Ken La Grand, Gentex executive vice president.
