Ensera Accelerates Automation Pace in Collision Repair Process; Further Expands Operations Via Agreement With Go Media Inc.
ONTARIO, Calif.--Aug. 28, 2000--In a move that is expected to significantly expand its operating base, Redwood Shores, Calif.-based Ensera Inc. (www.ensera.com), which previously operated under the code name EngineRoar, entered into an agreement to acquire Go Media Inc. and its goClaims.com division based in Scottsdale, Ariz., announced Anthony Aquila, Ensera's founder and chief executive officer. The transaction is expected to close Monday, Aug. 28, 2000. Other terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Ensera, a leading provider of solutions that automate the marketplace process for the automotive collision repair industry, intends to incorporate goClaims' operations and systems, including EazyImage(TM), into its comprehensive suite of tools.
"The agreement with goClaims is another step in Ensera's aggressive drive to deliver a true solution to the automotive collision repair marketplace that leverages the power of the Internet," said Aquila, noting that the acquisition will further expedite the speed-to-market of Ensera's solution.
"The integration of goClaims' EazyImage(TM) with Ensera's wide breadth of products will permit EazyImage(TM) to further develop into a key solution that allows the repair facilities to rapidly eliminate costly proprietary technologies that are used today."
EazyImage(TM) is a PC-based claims and digital image management system that allows customers to easily manage all components of a claim through the Internet. One of the primary features is its ability to import both digital and scanned estimating data from any estimating system into a claim file with security and watermark features.
The claim documents and images are compressed and transported quickly by the repair facility over the Internet to the insurance carrier. The file can then be securely accessed through a Web browser by the insurance adjuster, appraiser or a consumer, with their proper claim number and password.
Ensera's advanced technology and its executive management team, which collectively has more than seven decades of automotive collision repair industry experience, makes it a leader in building solutions that are expected to provide tremendous cost savings in the claims process for all the commercial participants -- repair facilities, insurance carriers and parts/materials suppliers.
The industry is finding favor with Ensera's solution nationwide. The success is credited in part to Ensera's revolutionary approach to the automotive repair claims process which allows all the commercial participants and their consumers to transact, exchange and share information easily via the Internet, thus reducing costs, repair cycle times and improving customer service.
"GoClaims' EazyImage(TM) system was developed to serve and facilitate repair facilities, independent appraisers and insurance companies with the management of these processes by removing the fragmented manual processes and replacing them with automated ones," said Gary Hart, chief technical officer of Go Media Inc., who will join Ensera's management team as vice president of repair facilities product strategy along with Rudy Lehman, vice president of repair facilities product development.
"We are excited to be part of Ensera's long-range vision and its solid capital resources to further develop and deploy this innovative claims and digital image management system," said Guy Gibney, co-founder of Go Media Inc.
Ensera announced that development of products targeted for the insurance carriers and parts/material suppliers will be based in its Redwood Shores corporate headquarters, while the technical division developing the products for the repair facilities will be based in Scottsdale.
