Engineous Software Named Seventh Fastest Growing Technology Company in North Carolina

    MORRISVILLE, N.C.--Aug. 24, 2000--Engineous Software Inc., provider of the award-winning integration, automation, and design improvement software iSIGHT and related strategic services, today announced it has been named number seven on Deloitte & Touche's ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in North Carolina.
    The Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 list is based upon a five-year percentage revenue growth for 1995 - 1999. It is the second time Engineous Software has been named to the regional list.

    To qualify for the North Carolina Technology Fast 50, companies must be defined as a "technology company," develop proprietary technology, devote a high percentage of effort to research and development and have revenues of at least $50,000 for 1995 and at least $1 million for 1999.
    As one of the members of the North Carolina Technology Fast 50 list, Engineous Software is automatically qualified for Deloitte & Touche's Technology Fast 500, which ranks the 500 fastest growing companies in the United States.
