ARCA: Gene Lee Gibson takes Baer Field ARCA Midgets

Fort Wayne IN, - Gene Lee Gibson, in the Ideas Corp-Gilmore
Construction-Fastenal Autocraft, continued to pad his point lead with
another convincing victory in the ARCA Auto Value Midget Series Saturday
night under the lights at Baer Field Speedway.

The two-time and defending ARCA Midget champ, well on his way to a third
consecutive title, raced by Jason Fuller’s Suspension
Spring-AFCO-Hoosier Hawk on lap 21 of the 30 lap main event and never
looked back to score his 18th career ARCA Midget win. The victory moves
the Richwood, Ohio driver to third on the all-time ARCA Midget win list
behind Jim Hettinger and Mike Fedorcak.

Hoosier Tire Pole Award winner Jimmy McCune charged ahead to finish
second in front of Dave Baumgartner, Fuller and Sondi Eden to complete
the top five.
