BFGoodrich Cleared for Replacement in Firestone Recall

Tires Distributed Nationwide Through 10,000 DealershipsGREENVILLE, S.C. - Consumers who have been affected by the Firestone recall can now be reimbursed by Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. for approved BFGoodrich(R) tires purchased as replacements. "This is big news for consumers who have been trying to get replacement tires in the past week," said Mathew Aaron, brand manager, BFGoodrich(R) tires. "Now the mechanism is in place for consumers to get reimbursed for the tires they want." Since the recall, production of BFGoodrich(R) tires has increased dramatically to fulfill national demand from its 10,000-dealer network and Ford dealerships. Additionally BFGoodrich(R) brand has worked closely with Ford Motor Company to develop a list of authorized BFGoodrich(R) tires to replace the recalled tires. Consumers may purchase BFGoodrich(R) tires from any tire retailer and Bridgestone/Firestone will reimburse up to $100 per tire, including mounting and balancing charges and taxes.
