Last night Lear was honored as The Best of the Best 2000 in both Interior Suppliers and Electronic System Suppliers categories at a dinner and awards presentation at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Automotive Industries (AI) and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP joined forces to conduct the "Quest for Excellence" research project. "As suppliers are asked by original equipment manufacturers to assume greater responsibility for reliability and durability, the highest quality standards in engineering, product development and manufacturing are an absolute necessity," wrote Automotive Industries Magazine Editorial Director Andrew J. "Suppliers who consistently rank high in the five areas of quality, price, delivery, service/response and innovation deserve to be ranked among the best of the best and receive the coveted 'Quest of Excellence' award."
