Hayes Lemmerz International Announces Key AppointmentsNORTHVILLE, Mich. - Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc. , a leading global supplier to the automotive and commercial highway industry, today announced the following appointments: Werner Kosak, to the position of Director of Engineering for its North American Suspension Components business unit. Prior to joining Hayes Lemmerz, Kosak served at BMW for the past 29 years. He was most recently in charge of the rear suspension department for BMW's series development. Kosak earned a mechanical engineering degree from the Technical University in Munich, Germany. Mark Meyer, to the position of Director of Quality Assurance for its North American Suspension Components business unit. Meyer joined the Company (formally Cadillac Malleable Iron) in 1976 and held various positions of increasing responsibility in engineering and sales. Meyer earned an associate's degree from Muskegon Community College, a bachelor of science degree in business leadership and is currently pursuing a master's degree in business administration from Baker College. John Kozma, to the position of Director of Materials for its North American Suspension Components business unit. Kozma joins Hayes Lemmerz after 11 years at Federal-Mogul Corporation. Kozma earned a bachelor of science degree in finance and business economics and a master's degree in business administration from Wayne State University. Ron Cassell, to the position of Director of Quality for its North American Fabricated Wheels business unit. Cassell comes to Hayes Lemmerz with over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. Cassell earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Detroit and a master of science degree in administration from Central Michigan University. Cassell's professional certifications include: CQE, CQM and CQA. He is also a RAB Certified Quality Systems Lead Auditor (QS-LA) and a former two-time Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award examiner. James Jarrett, to the position of Controller for its North American Cast Wheels business unit. Jarrett joined Hayes Lemmerz in 1995 as Plant Controller at the Company's Huntington, Indiana facility. Jarrett earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the Illinois Wesleyan University. The Company also announced that Dan Jaksic, Director of Information Technology for its Commercial Highway and Aftermarket business unit, will lead Hayes Lemmerz' Corporate eBusiness initiatives. In addition to his current responsibilities, Jaksic will assume responsibility for charting the strategic direction of all corporate eBusiness and driving the realization of that strategy globally across the Company's business units and among its vendors and customers. Prior to joining Hayes Lemmerz in 1999, Jaksic held various positions at Lucent Technologies and AT&T. Jaksic earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and a master of science degree in management information systems from Illinois Benedictine University.
