NASCAR WWEST: Woodside Pays First-Time Visit to Colorado National Speedway

17 August 2000

August 17, 2000 (Palmdale, Calif.) - Sean Woodside, driver of the REF
Motorsports #4 Pontiac in the Featherlite Southwest Series, NASCAR Touring,
has a long history with the short tracks in the west, but, to date, there
has been no entry for an event at Colorado National Speedway on his stat
sheets.

That will change with this Saturday evening's NAPA 125 at CNS' .375-mile
oval.

Woodside and the REF team head to CNS a little disappointed to have slipped
one spot to fourth in the point standings following last weekend's engine
problems, but eager to make a good showing this weekend.

"It was a disappointment to be running so well, then to have to park the
car before the end of the race," commented Woodside. "We broke a rocker
arm, and there just wasn't enough time left to fix it and get back on
the track."

Woodside was on the move and heading for the top five last weekend in
the Sandia 125 at Sandia Motorsports Park when the broken rocker arm cut
his evening short with just 94 laps complete, resulting in a 19th place
finish.

Woodside continued, "Running in the Southwest Series with Bob Farmer and
the team has given me a chance to experience tracks I might not otherwise
have had an opportunity to race at. I'm looking forward to this weekend."

Team owner Bob Farmer commented, "Last weekend's engine problem was unfortunate
and totally unforeseen. The car was running great up until that point,
and we expect a strong run this weekend."
