Bulls Charge California Coastline for 3rd Annual Run

Over 50 Lamborghini Diablos Led by Racing Legend Mario Andretti Roar Up From Newport Beach to CarmelNEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - An annual tradition, "The Night of the Bulls" cocktail reception, dinner and charity auction on Wednesday, August 16, 5:15 PM at The Four Seasons Hotel (690 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach) will kick off the three day "Running of the Bulls" 2000 event. Proceeds will benefit the California Highway Patrol's 11-99 Foundation, which assists the families of officers downed in the line of duty. Racing legend Mario Andretti will be on hand to celebrate the gala. The following morning, Thursday, August 17 at approximately 7:45 AM, Andretti will lead over 50 Lamborghini Diablos from the Four Seasons Hotel in Newport Beach, circling Fashion Island before they make their way on a 380-mile run up the coast. Under a California Highway Patrol escort, the "raging bulls" will head north through Los Angeles en route to their lunch stop in Santa Barbara at the Garvin Theatre/ Santa Barbara City College (11:45 AM -- arrival time approx.). From there they will continue north, with a major re-fueling stop in Atascadero at the Chevron station off Highway 101 at approximately 3:30 PM (Santa Rosa exit -- station at 8955 Montecito Ave.), and onward to their final destination -- the Quail Lodge Resort and the Concorso Italiano in Carmel (approximate arrival time -- 6:45 PM). A highlight of the run will include the participation of the new Model Year 2001, Diablo 6.0, in the pack. The third annual "Running of the Bulls" event, August 16-18, brings a touch of the Italian Riviera to the California coast. Over 15 million dollars worth of exotic and elegant Lamborghini Diablos offer a magnificent sight as they wind their way en masse up the coast. The procession of Lamborghini Diablos will arrive at the Quail Lodge Resort in Carmel on the evening of August 17, 2000 at approximately 6:45 PM, where they will be displayed in preparation for the Concorso Italiano on Friday, August 18. The display will be adjacent to Exclusive, Inc.'s Lamborghini tent located at the west-end of the green connected to the Quail Lodge Resort. Vik Keuylian, President and CEO Exclusive, Inc. (the sole U.S. distributor for Automobili Lamborghini), and the creator of the "Running of the Bulls" will offer breakfast and lunch for guests. The highlight of the afternoon will be a drawing for Mario Andretti's 25th Anniversary Lamborghini Countach at 2:00 PM. Proceeds from the drawing will also benefit the California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation. Additional tickets for the drawing will be available at the Exclusive, Inc. tent.
