CON-WAY Promotes Jannausch to V.P. Human Resources and Barretta to V.P. Information Systems

    ANN ARBOR, Mich.--Aug. 15, 2000--Con-Way Transportation Services (CON-WAY) announced the promotion and election of two new vice presidents. J. Patricia Jannausch has been promoted to vice president of human resources. Jacquelyn Barretta has been promoted to vice president, information services.

    Jannausch was previously director of human resources. She will continue to manage human resource and benefit issues for all the CON-WAY component companies. As vice president, she will take the lead role in formulating and implementing human resource strategic planning, policies and training programs. She will also manage daily personnel issues for Con-Way Transportation Services. She is located at the headquarters office of CON-WAY in Ann Arbor, MI and reports to Scott J. Engers, vice president, corporate counsel.
    Jannausch began her career with Con-Way Central Express (CCX) in 1983 as a marketing representative. In 1984 she became the first supervisor of the CCX Account Management Center (AMC). In 1988 she was promoted to manager of the AMC, and in 1993 became manager of training for CCX. In 1997 Jannausch was appointed the first director of training for Con-Way Transportation Services. The following year she was promoted to director of human resources for CON-WAY. A graduate of Rhode Island College, Jannausch holds a bachelor of science degree and a masters degree in education.
    Barretta was previously director, information services. She began her career with CON-WAY in February 1996 as a senior systems analyst. The following year she was promoted to development manager. In September 1997, she was appointed director, information services. As vice president, Barretta will be responsible for establishing and implementing information services strategic objectives and managing CON-WAY's application software development and production support efforts which support all of CON-WAY's business activities. She will work out of the company's Portland, OR, offices where CON-WAY maintains its information systems staff. She reports to Douglas W. Stotlar, executive vice president, operations.
    Barretta has 17 years experience in the computer and software industry. Prior to joining CON-WAY she was software development manager for PacificCorp; senior systems analyst for Sprouse Reitz, Inc; senior consultant with Deloitte & Touche and a programmer analyst for Duke Power. She holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from the University of North Carolina.
