Online Financier giggo.com Reports 700% Increase in Unique Visitor Traffic Launching Company Into Top Ten Fastest Growing Sites in America
Increased Traffic Drives Double Digit Growth in Applications, Approvals And
                                 Funded Loans

DALLAS, Aug. 15 DaimlerChrysler Services (debis) AG's
giggo.com unit (http://www.giggo.com), the web's premier online automotive financing
site and shopping resource, announced today a staggering 700% increase in
unique visitors to its web site since May 2000. This upsurge represents
773,000 unique visitors in the month of July alone, surpassing key competitor
eloan.com, according to PC Data Online. Additionally, by combining weekly
percentage growth for both of giggo.com's domain names (giggo.com &
giggocar.com) in the last week of July, the company became the seventh fastest
growing web site in America. Starting in August, giggo.com's data will be
reported under one domain name.
Along with growth in unique visitors, giggo.com's key business performance
measures also expanded during this time period with new applications rising
nearly 60%, loan approvals by 11% and funded loans jumping 14%. The company's
national television, print and radio advertising campaign launched in early
July is credited as the catalyst for these ground-breaking traffic and
business performance increases.
"We're pleased to see increased site traffic, but more importantly that
it's equating to respectable new business growth," commented giggo.com CEO
Brian Reed. "Even though awareness of our category is currently low, we've
been confident all along that once consumers truly understand the advantages
of online car shopping and financing, the floodgate would be opened,"
continued Reed.
The online automotive financial services market is expected to grow
dramatically over the next three years as more consumers recognize the
benefits of securing their financing and related services online. According
to CNW Marketing/Research of Bandon, Oregon, online automotive financing will
grow from less than 5% today to over 50% by the year 2003, which represents a
$61 billion market opportunity.
