Auto Dealer Gives $2.5 Million for Community Tennis Complex

14 August 2000

WACO, Texas - Allen Samuels, chairman of the Board and CEO of Allen Samuels
Auto Group, and his wife Donna recently committed $2.5 million to the City of
Waco for a community tennis complex. The City of Waco recently announced plans
for the construction of a Regional Tennis Complex and Aquatic Center to be built
with the help of private funds such as the Samuels' gift. They will also assist
the Waco Tennis Association in fundraising activities for the project.

The Tennis Complex will include 25 courts -- six indoor courts in a fully
enclosed air-conditioned environment. There will be 19 outdoor courts
constructed in sets of two and four with landscaping. The center court will
feature a 1,500-seat stadium for championship events. The Complex will be the
largest in Central Texas and among the largest public facilities in the State
of Texas. "Donna and I are very excited to help jump-start this project,"
Allen Samuels, said. "As a tennis enthusiast, I look forward to playing every
chance I get. We see tennis as a wonderful leisure opportunity for people of
all ages, and we want to make it available to the entire public at an
affordable price."

Samuels has supported the City tennis program in the past including the
Special Tennis Camp for children with physical or mental disabilities.
The new Tennis Complex will provide the City of Waco with two tennis
facilities. The City of Waco currently maintains the Charlie McCleary
Tennis Center, 1301 Barnard Street, which has a total of 16 courts.

Samuels makes it a top priority to participate in the growth, development
and enrichment of the communities where he conducts business. He routinely
reinvests in the communities across the state and assists with programs for
improving the quality of life for all citizens.

Allen Samuels Auto Group now owns 10 new car dealerships in Texas. In
addition to the most recent acquisition of Port Arthur's Mingle Motors,
dealerships are located in Waco, Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Corpus Christi,
Tyler, Clear Lake, and Ennis. That total will increase to 12 in 2001 as a
result of DaimlerChrysler's approval for two new Dodge dealerships. One will
be in Katy, Texas, and the other will be north of Fort Worth near Alliance
Airport. Allen Samuels Auto Group is the 33rd largest new car dealership
group in America, according to the April 2000, edition of Ward's Dealer
Business.
