Les Schwab Announces Replacement Policy Following Firestone Recall
PRINEVILLE, Ore. - Les Schwab Tire Centers announced today that it plans

ATX II tires, following the announcement of recall by the manufacturer. Les
Schwab, with locations in six Northwest states, will replace the recalled tires
at no cost to the owner, regardless of where they were purchased.

This applies to the tire types and sizes that have been listed in the
official recall. These include:

    Size Brand/Pattern DOT Plant Code

Les Schwab will continue to provide free inspections for Wilderness and
related Firestone tires that are not on the recall list. However, non-recalled
tires will not be replaced.

"We continue to work closely with Firestone to make sure customers feel
satisfied," said Phil Wick, Les Schwab president. "We will continue to keep
customers up to date on events as the recall proceeds."

Wick said tire owners wishing to have their recalled tires replaced or
their non-recalled Wilderness tires examined could do so at any of the more
than 300 Les Schwab locations in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Northern
California, and Nevada.
