SmarTire Initiates Corporate Awareness Campaign

    RICHMOND, B.C. - SmartTire Systems Inc. announced today its plans to significantly increase corporate awareness throughout the automotive industry and investment community in North America and Europe.

    A comprehensive investor relations program and targeted public relations activities are supporting the launch of SmarTire's next generation of tire monitoring products.

    "The objective of these programs is to send a clear message to the automotive industry and investment community that SmarTire is ideally positioned to exploit the commercial opportunity that is rapidly developing in respect to the next breakthrough in vehicle safety, tire monitoring systems," commented Robert Rudman, SmarTire's President and Chief Executive Officer. "We have the right technologies, products, strategic alliances, engineering expertise, distribution, and financial resources to capitalize on this opportunity."

    Targeting the investment community, SmarTire has contracted the Incite Marketing Group and Euro-Pacific Capital to provide the Company with North American and European investor marketing services. The initiatives include the production and distribution of various corporate materials including an investor newsletter, corporate profiles and reports as well as media interviews. The activities will begin immediately and will be conducted throughout the remainder of the year.

    SmarTire has also retained the public relations services of Ink Incorporated in the U.S., Peter Sawell and Partners in the U.K. and I.C. Gruppe in Germany. These professional firms will assist SmarTire in gaining positive consumer and automotive media coverage in preparation for the autumn trade shows in Frankfurt and Las Vegas. SmarTire's recent media success can be seen on its website, www.smartire.com, featuring a CNN Financial News interview with Mr. Rudman.
