Oxford Automotive Inc. Reports Record Fiscal Year 2000 Results

TROY, Mich. - Oxford Automotive Inc., a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier,
has reported a record financial performance for year ended March 31, 2000. The
company's net sales increased by 37% to $809.1 million, from $591.6 million in
the previous year. In addition, the company reported a 54% increase in EBITDA
to $80.2 million from $51.8 million and a 145% increase in net income to $7.6
million from $3.1 million. In addition, the company reduced its debt by $13.1
million in 2000.

"We are extremely proud of these record results, which are based primarily
upon internal growth through new contracts and an increased global presence
through the successful assimilation of recent acquisitions, Wackenhut GmbH in
June 1999, the Oxford Technology Group in February 2000 and Groupe Gessaroli
in April 2000," said Selwyn Isakow, Chairman of Oxford Automotive, Inc. "Due
to these developments and a great deal of hard work and initiative from
Oxford's team members, we believe that we are well positioned to benefit from
three recognized trends in the stamping and metal forming segments of the
automotive industry in the coming years: outsourcing, consolidation and
globalization. With new projects and product launches underway, our business
is highly active and we feel we're on track in our strategy to become a
leading worldwide metal forming supplier to the automotive industry."

Through the acquisitions of Wackenhut GmbH, the Oxford Technology Group
and Group Gessaroli, the company's revenues have risen at a compound growth
rate of 76% from 85 million for fiscal year 1996 from which the company first
began. These acquisitions have also allowed Oxford to support customers on a
worldwide basis; customer base has grown to include GM, Ford, DaimlerChrysler,
Renault, Peugeot, Saturn, BMW, Volkswagen, Nissan, Toyota, Honda Mitsubishi,
Isuzu, SAAB, Opel, Audi, and several Tier 1 suppliers. Current Oxford
facilities are located in the United States, Canada, Mexico, France, Germany,
Italy and a joint venture in Venezuela.
