CIMLOGIC's ToolBox/SE for SolidWorks Has New Drag-And-Drop Interface

NASHUA, N.H.--Aug. 7, 2000--Building on the success of its popular Toolbox automation software, CIMLOGIC today introduced Toolbox/SE 6.0, which includes a new drag-and-drop interface for SolidWorks 2000 that allows for the placement of standard hardware into assemblies.
The new streamlined interface enables a user to create circular and linear cams and sprockets while working in the native SolidWorks environment.

    Improved Automation

New in Toolbox/SE is a drag-and-drop interface that moves hardware into place through SolidWorks Smart Mates. The new interface looks like a "Super Feature Palette" and is fully integrated with the SolidWorks FeatureManager, on its own tab. In addition, users may add their own part numbers to any hardware item with full integration to the SolidWorks bill-of-materials. Also new is the ability to create cams simply by specifying the follower, motion type and blank. Even complex circular and linear cams can be created instantly and sprockets can be selected for six chain types based on industry standards.
CIMLOGIC has added new hardware to Toolbox/SE 6.0 including additional bolts and screws, nuts, pins, jig bushings, and more. Toolbox/SE is completely integrated with SolidWorks software and comes with advanced hole types and a full hardware library. Industry and user-defined company standards are supported.

    SolidWorks Partnership

Commenting on the new interface, Brian Houle, Gold Product Manager for SolidWorks Corporation, said, "CIMLOGIC consistently delivers innovative, easy-to-use add-ins for SolidWorks. This Toolbox/SE 6.0 release for SolidWorks 2000 shows the company's commitment to developing best-in-class software which incorporates features that our customers request."

    Price and Order Information

Toolbox/SE, available from SolidWorks resellers throughout North America, runs inside SolidWorks 2000 and sells for $695.
