Hometown Auto Retailers Taps Politis Communications as Its Public Relations and Investor Relations Agency
WATERTOWN, Conn. - Hometown Auto Retailers Inc. has selected Politis Communications as its new public relations and investor relations agency.Under terms of the six-month agreement, Politis Communications will assist Hometown in all aspects of its PR and IR functions, including media relations, shareholder communications, and interaction with financial professionals.
Hometown's previous agency of record was National Financial Network of Needham, Mass. No financial details regarding the agreement between Hometown and Politis Communications were released.
"Not only is Hometown one of the larger auto dealer networks in the Northeast, but we believe that it's also just beginning to transform itself into an e-Business," said David Politis, president of Politis Communications.
"If we're correct in our thinking, then shareholders will begin to see Hometown not just as a value-play, but also as an e-Business -- a company where technology makes a dramatic difference in its success.
"For example, I really like Hometown's use of technology through its Cyberlot, as well as its program to network together its dealerships to increase sales efficiency and profit margins. I feel that as we begin to tell this emerging technology story, Hometown will look more and more attractive to investors."
"Politis Communications has had some dramatic successes lately in helping public companies identify and articulate their stories to the marketplace," said Corey Shaker, president of Hometown Auto Retailers. "During our discussions over the past two months, it's been very apparent to me that the Politis team is quite adept at 'peeling back the onion.'
"That's what we're looking to them to do for us: to help us position our company properly and get our story into the market."
Hometown Auto Retailers sells new and used cars and light trucks, provides maintenance and repair services, sells replacement parts and provides related financing, insurance and service contracts through 11 franchised dealerships located in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont.
The company's dealerships offer 13 American and Asian automotive brands, including Chevrolet, Chrysler, Daewoo, Dodge, Ford, Isuzu, Jeep, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury, Oldsmobile, Plymouth and Toyota.
The company is active in two "niche" segments of the automotive market: the sale of Lincoln Town Cars and limousines to livery car and livery fleet operators and the maintenance and repair of cars and trucks at a Ford and Lincoln Mercury factory authorized free-standing service center.
