Appoints Marc Simon To Global Director of Strategic PlanningTROY, Mich. - Oxford Automotive, Inc., a leading Tier 1 OEM automotive supplier of manufactured engineered metal components, assemblies and modules, announced today the appointment of Marc Simon to the position of Global Director of Strategic Planning. Steven Abelman, president and CEO of Oxford Automotive, Inc. made the announcement. In this newly created position reporting to Steven Abelman, Simon will develop a global strategic organization, complete a process mapping for the worldwide tactical planning activities, define the marketing direction of Oxford, develop a business, product, manufacturing and customer plan. Simon, a highly regarded automotive executive, recently held the position of Manager Advanced Vehicle Program for Eaton Corporation. His responsibilities included creating global inter-divisional strategies, monitor new market trends, analyze company acquisitions and joint ventures and define technical road maps and systems strategies. Prior to that, Simon held various automotive management positions in the United States, France, Italy and Germany for Siemens Automotive.
