I.D. Systems Awarded Contract by Ford Motor Co. To Expand Internet Capabilities of Fleet Management System

    HACKENSACK, N.J. - I.D. Systems, Inc., a leading provider of end-to-end
wireless asset management solutions, today announced that it has received an
order from Ford Motor Co. to initiate development of the next generation of
Internet-based fleet management technology for its Industrial Vehicle Electronic
Control System. The contract is a significant step in expanding the company's
role in industrial fleet management.

I.D. Systems and the automaker are currently prioritizing plant roll-out
for the first generation of IVECS, which incorporates Internet-based features
that impact industrial vehicle safety, utilization and maintenance. Under the
new contract, I.D. Systems will create an Internet-based asset management
system for Ford, to be known as the Enterprise Wireless Asset Net(TM)
(eWAN(TM)). The new eWAN system will expand functionality in numerous areas,
including lease management, enterprise-wide forecasting, supplier management,
and equipment transfer. The assets under management will include all of
Ford's industrial vehicles, batteries, chargers, and other vehicle support
equipment.

Michael Ehrman, I.D. Systems Executive Vice President of Engineering,
said, "The award of this contract reflects I.D. Systems' successful
development of an enterprise-wide wireless asset management system that meets
Ford's needs. We are very excited about Ford's decision to expand the scope
of our work to encompass a solution for their entire fleet of industrial
equipment. We also look forward to expanding and deploying the new
Internet-based technology into other applications and for other customers."

Ehrman continued, "This program will provide Ford with a central data
repository for its plants and will help Ford Motor Company achieve a new level
of wireless, automated control over its industrial equipment around the
world."
