Donnelly Hires William Berry to Head Companywide E-Initiatives

    HOLLAND, Mich. - William Berry has joined Donnelly Corporation as vice 
president and general manager of e-Business initiatives, the company announced 
today.  Berry comes to Donnelly with more than 25 years of experience in 
information technology and manufacturing operations, primarily in the automotive 
industry.

    In this newly created position, Berry will be responsible for Donnelly's
e-Business strategy, including electronic commerce and electronic process
improvements.

    "The automotive industry is rapidly changing in response to the business-
to-business revolution," said Dwane Baumgardner, chairman and chief executive
officer.  "We expect e-Business to profoundly affect every part of our
business, both internally and externally, and we are determined to be a leader
in this transformation.  With Bill's strong credentials and automotive
experience, he will play a critical role in developing Donnelly's e-Business
capabilities so we can expand and increase our competitive advantage in this
age of new technology.  We are fortunate to add Bill to our team."

    Before joining Donnelly, Berry worked as the vice president of information
technology at Johnson Controls Automotive Systems Group and Prince
Corporation, where he was responsible for the development and implementation
of global information technology strategies.  In that role, Berry developed
information technology strategies and standards to support all facets of
business change initiatives.  Prior to Johnson Controls, he worked for the ITT
Automotive Division of ITT Corporation and other automotive and glass
manufacturers.

    Berry earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Georgia
Institute of Technology.  He is a member of the Grand Valley State University
Information Technology Board of Directors.  He resides in Holland, Michigan,
with his wife Cindy and two children, Brandon and Kendall.
