Lassiter Appointed Jaguar Brand DirectorDEARBORN, Mich. - Jaguar Credit recently appointed Dennis Lassiter Jaguar Brand Director. In this new position, Lassiter will be responsible for strengthening the relationship between Jaguar, Jaguar dealers and Jaguar Credit. "The luxury car market continues to be a complex and competitive while growing at a quick pace," said Rich Pauley, vice president for Jaguar Credit auto finance and marketing. "We are pleased to welcome Dennis to our team. His experience in the industry and his relationship with Jaguar and its dealers will be extremely beneficial for all of us." Lassiter will be based in Mahwah, N.J., in Jaguar's North American headquarters, so he can continue as a key member of the Jaguar management team. "There are so many issues that Jaguar, our dealers and Jaguar Credit should be involved in together," said Lassiter. "In my new role I'm looking forward to bringing all three parties together so that we make the right decisions for all." Prior to his appointment with Jaguar Credit, Lassiter was general sales manager of Jaguar Cars where he was responsible for strategic sales planning in the United States and overseeing Jaguar's district sales managers. During his five-year tenure, U.S. sales doubled with the introduction of the XK8 sports car, the S-TYPE sedan and the redesigned XJ Series sedans. Lassiter joined Jaguar Cars in 1988 as a field operations administrative manager. Prior to coming to Jaguar, he worked at Nissan Motor Corporation, holding several positions in sales, marketing, production and distribution. Originally from Tulsa, Okla., Lassiter received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Maryland. He began his career in the industry working in automotive retail sales before joining Chrysler Corporation's sales operation. Lassiter currently resides with his wife in Wanaque, N.J.
